Artwork production at Peter Cox Design Sudio is executed virtually exclusively within a Microsoft® Windows® PC environment.

Key production software includes:

• Adobe Photoshop (Image creation &editing)
• Corel Draw (Vector graphics creation)
• Adobe PageMaker (Publications / page makeup)
• Adobe Acrobat (PDF creation & editing)

Other supplementary programmes are used either for special effects or for translation to and from other software formats.

We can flatbed scan reflective or transparent originals in-house to an optical resoultion of 6400 x 3200 dpi (interpolation allows resolutions over 25,000dpi).

Due to the advances in the digital-art-to-press work path we no longer produce final film in-house but usually pass either open native software production files or pdfs to the chosen printer. However, our experience of film imaging and separation adds to our overall artwork production knowledge and we can supply final film when necessary, using our resource of external suppliers.

Our artwork experience spans over 30 years and includes paste-up techniques using typeset galley and mark-up for film planning through to current digital processes and appreciation of all print and print finishing technologies.
